You can delete your Nowsy account at any time. Deleting is free, takes effect immediately, and can be done right inside the app.
1. Delete in the app
- Open Nowsy and go to the Profile tab
- Tap the Settings icon in the top corner
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm — you are signed out and your account is deleted right away
2. Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email support@nowsy.app with the subject “Delete my Nowsy account” from the email address you signed in with (or include the phone number you registered with). We will confirm your identity and delete your account within 30 days.
3. What gets deleted
- Profile photos — removed from our storage
- Location — your stored location is deleted and you disappear from Nearby immediately
- Matches and chats — all your matches are ended and your conversations are closed
- Sign-in details — your Apple/Google account link, email address and phone number are removed from your account
- Notifications — your device push tokens are deleted, so you receive no further notifications
- Blocks — block records you created or that involve you are deleted
4. What we may keep
To protect other users, we keep a minimal deactivated record — your profile name, birth date, gender, and any safety reports involving your account — for safety, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. This record is no longer linked to your sign-in account, email address, or phone number, and it is never shown to other users.
5. Coming back
Deletion cannot be undone. You are welcome to sign up again at any time with the same Apple or Google account — you will start with a brand new profile.
