Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Nowsy mobile application (“App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Nowsy (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Nowsy. By using the App, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

2. Description of Service

Nowsy is a location-based social application that allows users to discover and connect with other users in their vicinity. Users can activate an “I'm Open” mode to become visible to nearby users, send meetup requests, and chat with mutual matches.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Promptly notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the App for commercial solicitation without our prior written consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Upload or share content that is illegal, offensive, or violates third-party rights
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the App
• Stalk, follow, or physically approach another user without their consent

5. Location Data

Nowsy requires access to your device's location to provide core functionality. Location data is only shared with other users when you have actively enabled “I'm Open” mode. When this mode is disabled, your location is no longer visible to other users.

You acknowledge that sharing your location involves inherent risks, and you are solely responsible for your interactions with other users in the physical world.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you post on Nowsy. However, by posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content within the App.

All other content, trademarks, and intellectual property associated with Nowsy remain our exclusive property.

7. Safety and Meetups

While Nowsy facilitates connections, we are not responsible for the conduct of users in the physical world. We strongly encourage you to:

• Meet in well-lit, public places
• Tell a friend or family member where you are going
• Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, leave
• Never share financial information with other users
• Report any suspicious or threatening behavior immediately

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Nowsy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of other users' profiles or the safety of meetups facilitated through the App.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nowsy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account immediately for violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
